THE LIMITS

BOOK 1 -- INFINITE LIMITS

For centuries there had been only silence . . .

The gateway through worlds known as the Rift, the Black Door, remained still as glass; a pitch-black mirror that when gazed upon showed only the reflection of one’s soul, and the emptiness therein.

Throughout the silence the races soundly slept, dreaming of an age past -- a history of horror that slowly faded to legend, and slower yet into myth.

Then the Rift awoke . . . and their dreams turned to nightmares, nightmares into reality.

From its pulsating maw spewed the infinite, undead legion assembled from the farthest reaches of a universe in ruins.  With only one world remaining in their conquest – one last flicker of life in an otherwise darkened universe -- the full might of the Dark Army descended.

An army of races must stand against it; hastily assembled, vastly outnumbered, and utterly unprepared for the evil that comes.  Alone, the Guardians of the Rift will surely be swept away.

But they’re not alone.  While the races slept, the gods planned.  They created . . .

After the passing of ages the powers of their children, their Chosen, have come to fruition.  Their godlings wield the Oneness, the very power that gave birth to the Black Door.  Yet still it will not be enough . . . to defeat the Void it will never be enough.

Thus the gods risked everything.  They created another; a new power – his gifts born of the Void itself.  A boy not only capable of ending the Dark Army but the very world in which he lives -- along with all those he loves.

As the battle for the final world unfolds, the gods cannot help but wonder, would this be their final failure?

Would their savior grow to become the Destroyer?

BOOK 2 -- LIMITS @ INFINITY

The powers of the Chosen are growing, but so too grows the power of the Void. It is, and has ever been, unstoppable – even for the Maker. And now, the Void is more powerful than ever.
The Chosen and the Guardians of the Rift must unite, for only together do they stand a chance against the infinite power of the Void --- divided, they shall surely fall.
But first, they must reach the besieged city of Lock Core, where the Dark Army is spilling into their world. And during their journeys, they must learn that there are many paths to the city, but only one path that will lead them to victory.
To follow the Maker’s path . . . it is the only way.
Though the path was paved for them ages ago, they must find it for themselves, and soon, else the Void reclaims all of creation.

BOOK 3 -- SANCTUARY

The legends of the Rift are many . . . as are the horrors within . . .

. . .the goddess Alana has failed. Now, the Elder Gods have banished her to the dying worlds, where she must suffer and wait . . . and grow strong, for one day she will stand against the Plague once more. This time, on the soil of the Seventh World.
Meanwhile, Anon begins his journey to the dying elven world to save the Elf Prince, Adros. But once there, he discovers the Plague has evolved into a horror beyond imagining. Now, to save the last of the elven race he must face creation's greatest enemy, the embodiment of the Void itself. The fate of the universe depends on his success. But there seems only one way to prevail, for even the Maker has abandoned him in the hellish world Ki'minsyllessil.
To save Prince Adros, Anon must die.

. . . the Servant of Death, the Dark Lord Sevron has arisen once more. This time he has taken form in the Holy Tree of the Elves, their sacred Graelic. Power, wealth, immortality . . . such things are meaningless to him, for the Servant of Death desires but one thing – to turn the universe into a living hell. Even the power of the Maker failed to see him dead.

. . . the Sanctuary.

The Dark Army is coming . . . A Rift has opened into the Sanctuary of the Elder Gods. With no way off of the small moon of volcanic glass, the Elder Gods must stay and fight – and face the full might of the Plague.
Help is also coming . . . Led by the former Elf Prince, Adros, a joint rescue squad of giants, elves, and Magi are coming to deliver the Elders to the new ‘Sanctuary’ – a world the survivors have come to call ‘The Seventh World’. But first, they have to fight their way through a maze of tunnels crawling with the undead.
The Makii are coming as well . . . every last Dead God. But they have a choice to make; embrace the will of the Dark Lord Sevron, or accept the path of the Maker.

BOOK 4 -- INTO THE RIFT

Once more into the Rift . . .

Sanctuary was lost . . . the gods had fallen.
For those who survived, a new world awaited . . .
For some, it was a world filled with hope; its soaring cliffs of red granite a natural barrier to the Rift and the horrors within.
For others, there was only fear – and nowhere left to hide.
And for the One Elf, there was no escaping it . . . the Rift. No matter how deep he went into the wilds of the new world, he felt it . . . its rhythmic pulse a summons he could not ignore.
Nor could he ignore what had been forgotten . . . and what he had lost in the Black Door.
After eighty-two years, hiding from the harsh reality of what the universe had become, he had to face it once more . . .
The endless road of pain and suffering was taking him back . . . back into the Rift.
